Vocational Consultant - Karol Buckingham

I have over 30 years experience working in the vocational arena, specializing in working with people who have physical, cognitive and learning disabilities, mental health and/or AODA issues; and individuals who are transitioning back into the community.

Dimensions assists participants in identifying transferable skills and developing resumes and cover letters to demonstrate those skills to potential employers; resume and cover letter development; arranging temporary work experience opportunities; interview coaching; providing labor market information; assistance in tapping the “hidden” job market; and advocating with employers on my clients behalf.  

In addition to using the Internet and other traditional sources of locating jobs, I regularly attend networking events and contact employers via phone, email and in person to determine what they are looking for in an employee and to build an ongoing relationship with the organization. I typically meet with clients once a week, with phone and email contact in between meetings as necessary.  

My education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Human Resources Management, and completion of coursework toward a Master of Science degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology.
